Lorenzo Ortega

IPSA/T ́eSA/ISAE-SUPAERO

Lorenzo Ortega received his B.Eng. in Telecommunication Engineering in 2014 and his M.Sc. degree in Telecommunication and Signal Processing in 2016 from the University of Zaragoza, Spain. He obtained his Ph.D. from Toulouse INP (Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse) in 2019. After completing his doctoral studies, he carried out a postdoctoral fellowship co-funded by T ́eSA and ISAE-SUPAERO (Toulouse) in the field of robust statistics for navigation. At the end of 2021, he joined IPSA Toulouse as an associate professor and researcher, while continuing his research activities at T ́eSA. In early 2025, he obtained his Habilitation `a Diriger des Recherches (HDR) from University of Toulouse III – Paul Sabatier. Since 2025, he has also served as an Associate Editor for Signal Processing and IEEE Signal Processing Letters. Since 2026, he has also been an associated researcher at ISAE-SUPAERO. His research interests include statistical signal processing and digital communications, with applications to satellite communications, positioning, navigation, and remote sensing.
