Since his PhD days, Jan has worked on resilient PNT technologies – developing and validating them at sea and carrying the results into the rooms where international standards are written. He has provided technical expertise to UK Government on eLoran and contributed internationally to early work on VDES R-Mode. He served as Technical Secretary to the first International eLoran Standardisation Conference (2025) and led an expert group session at the second, hosted by ESA NAVISP at ESTEC.
